SriLankan Catering wins Presidential Export Award as the Highest Foreign Exchange Earner for Processed Food and Beverage Sector.

Recognizing its unstinted contribution towards the Sri Lankan export economy, SriLankan Catering Limited was awarded the Presidential Export Award 2017/2018 for Highest Foreign Exchange Earner – Processed Food and Beverage Sector at 22nd Presidential Export Awards ceremony at Colombo’s main international convention centre the BMICH held recently, under the patronage of His Excellency President Maithripala Sirisena.

Sujeewa Senasinghe, State Minister for International Trade, presented the award to SriLankan Catering CEO Lalith Withana at the ceremony as recognition for its steadfast commitment to supporting the nation’s economy and the growth of the aviation industry.

The Presidential Export Awards (PEA) was introduced by Sri Lanka Export Development Board (SLEDB) in 1981 to recognize the contributions made by the export community towards national development.   The award winners represent excellence in export business, particularly in non-traditional products and services.

SriLankan Catering is the exclusive in-flight caterer for all airlines that operate to BIA and serves over 7.7 million meals annually. It operates from its sophisticated full flight kitchen at Bandaranaike International Airport, which has a capacity of 25,000 meals per day.
